I still remember those days on the old League when my late father used to be the hardcore supporter of the Reds. Liverfool actually. And me of course supporting the other Reds because they have Gary Bailey, Mark Hughes and Norman Whiteside. I dunno why on earth those players were sitting on the centre of the heart of seven years old kid. But they actually rock me back then.
One day, we watched Liverfool played Stoke City. Must be in FA Cup match, but my memory didn’t served me well on that. RTM got a show called "Road to Wembley" circa 80s but The Potters was also in the League by that time. Go Google it on your own.
The Potters were accidentally in the same level with Brunei in Piala Malaysia, a punching back by the way. Liverfool with the players like Jan Molby, John Barnes, Ian Rush, Grobbelaar and Dalglish was awesome. The rest is history. My late father was very proud and I didn’t read about Stoke City anymore after that, until they recently promoted to the top flight football.
Last week, they were celebrating like they have won the first Premier League trophy ever. I mean The-Reds-that-I-hate-for-the-rest-of-my-life. Here they are with the same old stories. Flying high like nobody cares when the season’s start, getting down to the mid table after Christmas and stick to no 4 spot when the season’s end. That’s Liverfool.
Friends, I watched Stoke City just now. They were humiliating The-Reds-that-I-hate-for-the-rest-of-my-life, in Anfield. Welcome back, Potters, after “I-dunno” years. Thanks God, my beloved father is no longer here to watch that.
p/s: Shebby's prediction's Anfield 3 - Stoke City 0 Ha!Ha!Ha!
